Our Virtual Power Plant, that scales at extremely-low per-device cost, can be used to offer valuable services to utilities and system operators, transforming end-users into green, active and profitable stakeholders of the energy transition.
ThermoVault is headquartered in Belgium (Genk and Leuven), with access to laboratory and office space on the UC Berkeley campus. We are supported by professors from KU Leuven and UC Berkeley, UC’s startup accelerator ‘The Foundry’, Start It @KBC and Netwerk Ondernemen.
ThermoVault has developed an all-in software and hardware IoT platform for energy services that retrofits residential customers’ existing electric thermal appliances into energy-saving and lucrative grid-responsive energy storage devices. We currently control over 3 MW of storage in Belgium and France, with EU-certified Ecodesign savings between 12 and 28%.
ThermoVault is looking for a skilled and motivated sales executive, who will help accelerate our activities in the Belgium market. Your job will be to find potential customers and establish relationships with them and look for ways to scale ThermoVault’s business in the new market.
About the job
You are responsible for the development of the sales of ThermoVault’s energy-saving and monitoring solution for existing electric space and water heaters:
Together with the sales team, identify and map relevant target customer segments and individual companies for ThermoVault’s offering
Present ThermoVault’s products and services to B2B customers
Build and maintain relationships with B2B customers and partners
Represent the company at relevant industry events
Facilitate the deployment of ThermoVault products at customer premises, potentially together with 3rd party partners whom you will bring on board
Translate customer needs to inputs for the product development team
Contribute in the European H2020 DECIDE on local energy communities
You will be directly reporting to the product manager.

Good technical understanding of aspects related to home energy management systems, energy efficiency and demand response
